BSOD using any flash application, error 0x00000050

    Hey there!
Iīm experiencing a BSOD everytime any kind of Flash is needed (e.g. watching Youtube videos, playing flashgames on facebook). Itīs the same pattern over and over again: The Application works for about 10 minutes, then the BSOD appears. Games are not affected, Skyrim and Rage are running perfectly.

    My system:
Windows 7 Professional 64bit Full Retail, installed 4 Weeks ago.
    ASUS P7P55D Mainboard
    Intel i5 750
    Radeon HD 6950 2GB (Catalyst 11.11c)
    Samsung HDD 1 TB
    4 GB A.Data Ram, 1333

    The BSOD:

    0x00000050
    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    Caused by driver "dxgmms1.sys"
    Caused by adress "dxgmms1.sys+1011b"
    Crashadress: "ntoskrnl.exe+7cc40"

    What I tried until now:

I combed the desert for solutions and advice. So I reinstalled my graphics drivers, checked my RAM with Memtest86, scanned my HDD for erros, disabled one unneeded sound driver, reinstalled flash player and plugins, updated my browser to Nightfly (64bit version of Firefox) and drank coffee...a lot of coffee But nothing except the coffee helped, no errors were found and the BSOD still is reproductable.

So what the hell can I try now? Can anyone of you help? ^^

    Hey!

First of all, thanks for replying :)

I did all you said in the given order, ran OCCT for an hour (see attachement). Dunno why, but OCCT told me I couldnīt run the GPU-ram test, because my card wouldnīt support this.

The results of the GPU test seem to be alright, donīt they?

Iīll run Memtest86+ over night tonight, weīll see about the RAM..

So I ran memtest tonight. 11 hours of testing, 21 passes and 0 errors. So the ram seems to be okay or memtest did not find the error...

I also ran Furmark and PCVantage yesterday to test my GPU, no errors occured, results were okay for my system specification...

    ...mh...

Remove Asus PC Probe or any other Asus monitoring utilities
    Code:
    AsIO.sys fffff880`043a0000 fffff880`043a6000 0x00006000 0x49d9ad64 06/04/2009 11:21:08

    WOW

Uninstalling and disabling all the Asus stuff did the trick! No BSOD using flashapplications. Fantastic!

Thank both of you! Thanks for sharing your experience! :) If there ever is another issue, Iīll know where to ask for advice!
