| Windows 7: Computer won't boot after waking from sleep mode |

Computer won't boot after waking from sleep mode Recently when my computer goes into sleep mode and I try to wake it with my mouse or keyboard, it will turn on and the motherboard bios screen comes on, but after that the screen will occasionally go black with no Windows 7 startup screen like normal. I am then able to control my mouse during the black screen, but after a little bit it will freeze and I have to turn off my computer and reboot.
Upon reboot, it will say "Resuming Windows," but never follows through, so I have to reset it again which finally allows me to start up.
Would anyone know what I could do to fix this? It doesn't happen every time it goes into sleep time, about 50%. It started happening within the past week.
Also, when it does boot properly and resumes, it is rather sluggish/loads forever when I open my web browser or any program. My cursor just turns into the Windows 7 loading circle for a while until it stops. This stuff never happened before. | My System Specs |

I assume this is a desktop computer? Sounds like you have hybrid sleep turned on, which is what makes me jump to that conclusion...
I would download and install the free version of Malwarebytes and run a full scan. Could be a virus/malware causing the problem.
I would also suggest running SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker to check for system file errors. You may have to run the system file check three times to fix all problems. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion e9110t OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz Motherboard Pegatron IPIEL-LA3 Memory 6.00 GB Hundai HMT125U6BFR8C-H9 Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4850 Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio/ATI High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL2216W Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard HP Keyboard Mouse HP Mouse PSU Unknown/installed by HP Case HP generic case Cooling Intel Stock Cooling Hard Drives Hitachi HDP725050GLA360 ATA Device 500 GB Internet Speed Download: 19.15 Mbps Upload: 1.67 Mbps Other Info Network Adapter Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)

Thank you! It turns out Hybrid Sleep was on, which I turned off.
I ran a full scan with Malwarebytes and the results were clean, so that's good.
I also ran the SFC scan 3 times and it cleared out a few errors. I think everything is good now, thank you very much, again | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop OS Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1 CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 760 @ 2.80GHz Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer INC. After it wakes from sleep, everything runs fine for 5-10 minutes, but after cruising the internet with google chrome (watching youtube, loading webpages, etc.) for a while, things will slow down and basically freeze, except I can move my mouse around.
I hit control-alt-delete to open up task manager to close google chrome, but it takes a few minutes just to open. This stuff never happens to my desktop when I boot it after it was off.
Any more tips? I ran driver verifier for about an hour and no BSOD's, so I don't know what to try. I ran a Disk Check too. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop OS Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1 CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 760 @ 2.80GHz Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer INC. Look for any services running that are causing errors in the application log:
1. Click Start Menu
2. Type eventvwr
3. Select Windows Logs
4. Select Application
5. Scroll down the Level column and find any Error levels
6. Check the Date and Time column for erros occurring near the times when you experienced issues
7. See what the problem was and google for a solution (copy and paste the first line of the general section into a google search)
Edit: Pay special attention to anything that has the string "svc" in it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion e9110t OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz Motherboard Pegatron IPIEL-LA3 Memory 6.00 GB Hundai HMT125U6BFR8C-H9 Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4850 Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio/ATI High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL2216W Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard HP Keyboard Mouse HP Mouse PSU Unknown/installed by HP Case HP generic case Cooling Intel Stock Cooling Hard Drives Hitachi HDP725050GLA360 ATA Device 500 GB Internet Speed Download: 19.15 Mbps Upload: 1.67 Mbps Other Info Network Adapter Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)

Well I'm getting thousands among thousands of errors. The source is "Bonjour Service" and the Event ID is 100.
A few of them say this:
Task Scheduling Error: Continuously busy for more than a second
Task Scheduling Error: m->NextScheduledEvent 134016044
After a quick google, I believe this program is related to iTunes? I'm not sure if it is the source of the slowdown, but there are thousands of errors seconds apart from each other so that can't be good.
I guess I'll try reinstalling itunes, even though my version is up to date. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop OS Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1 CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 760 @ 2.80GHz Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer INC. Try re-installing I-tunes as you said, and if that does not work:
1. Click Start Menu
2. Type Services into the Search programs and files box (do not hit enter)
3. Right click the Services (icon is two gears) option and click Run as administrator
4. Right click Bonjour
5. Click Properties
6. In the General tab, there is a box to the right of Startup Type:
7. Click on the box to get the drop down menu, and select Manual
8. Restart your computer. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion e9110t OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz Motherboard Pegatron IPIEL-LA3 Memory 6.00 GB Hundai HMT125U6BFR8C-H9 Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4850 Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio/ATI High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL2216W Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard HP Keyboard Mouse HP Mouse PSU Unknown/installed by HP Case HP generic case Cooling Intel Stock Cooling Hard Drives Hitachi HDP725050GLA360 ATA Device 500 GB Internet Speed Download: 19.15 Mbps Upload: 1.67 Mbps Other Info Network Adapter Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)
