BSOD Fairly New PC, error 0x50
Hey guys, around 1.5 months ago I acquired a HP Pavilion Desktop PC (h8-1120a). Here is a "Story log" of the events of suspicious things that went around
Day 2: In the morning when I booted it up, I got shone by the HP sign, then I went to a black screen with a flashing underscore, this went on for 20 min, so I hard reset the computer (holding the power button), I restarted, pressed Esc then F11 to go Startup Repair (and System Restore and whatnot), I clicked on it, then it said that the problem has been resolved, so I thought its all good
Day 9: The underscore thing happened again, it is the 3RD time its happened, this time I cant resolve it (in Startup Repair), so I decided because I had nothing important on the computer I restored to Default Factory Settings, it worked, except I would still have the underscore flashing occasionally.
IN BETWEEN DAY 9 AND DAY 40: I got the underscore sometimes, but it would boot up after I hard reset for another attempt
Day 40: (around 40 anyway): I boot up the computer, after about 5 min, the computer goes to the BSOD, however almost immediatly reboots. I was very shocked about this so I went back to the old startup repair, however I went to System Restore instead. When I clicked on System Restore it came to the BSOD again, this time it didnt auto shutdown, giving me time to write down what it was talking about.
It was talking about
ntfs.sys
And I got the STOP Code the appeared it was:
0x00000050
I did some google searches in Safe Mode (which works fine) and found that it may be due to faulty hardware
Also some additional information, when I DO go on Startup Repair, it says that it couldnt solve the problem, I went on "More details" and I got this as a drop down:
ProblemEventName: StartupReapirOffline
Problem Signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
Problem Signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385
Problem Signature 03: unknown
Problem Signature 04: -1
Problem Signature 05: SystemDisk
Problem Signature 06: 1
Problem Signature 07: No OS Installed
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

There is an attachment for the things I was intructed to do in the sticky (the dump files), however there is no perfmon HTML thing because when I typed in perfmon /report, it came up with a window with an error saying "The system cannot find the file path specified
Attachment 188044
My Windows 7 is:
- x64
- The original installed OS
- OEM (pre-installed)
- Age of the system is around 2 months (no counting the time it was in store)
- Age of the OS installation at the moment is a month
I have done countless google searches, and I have found that it MAY be due to faulty hardware, I need to be sure it is due to faulty hardware because it means, that the computer was doomed from the start, and I may be able to exchange it (I have a 1 year warranty)
Thank you, if there is anything I didnt include that needs to be in there please tell me, and if you could tell me how to do that perfmon /report thing on my system
Thanks
