    Computer freezes whenever turned off or shut, need advise


    I have a Samsung RF-711. Recently, whenever I shut down and boot later or when I shut the lid and boot later, it freezes. When I just shut the lid and hibernate, it freezes as soon as it is opened and must be reset by holding down the power. When it is shut down and rebooted it takes an extremely long time to restart.

    I could use any advice possible.

    By the way there are no blue screens involved and I can eventually log on, for example-If I just hibernate and then restart it works fine.

EDIT: I am no longer have this problem. My system works normally after i enabled at least 1 windows gadget. EDIT 2: Sorry, i still have this problem but since i now needed a gadget (clock), the problem gone. You can also fix this by having at least 1 program of any kind running on your windows.
