BSOD happening randomly, getting different errors

I have run memtest and dskchk in dos to verify RAM and HDD integrity because I was getting lots of pc lock-ups where the only thing to do was hard shutdown.

The two most recent errors i got was driver_irql_not_equal_or_less with stop: 0x000000C4
the other page_fault_in_nonpagedarea with win32k.sys error, no stop code.

Have done the steps in the sticky.
Former minidumps were accidentally deleted when I ran a disk cleanup.

    Easy, your AVG.

I notice your AVG which is often at least a contributing cause of BSOD'S . Please remove and replace your AVG with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Download tools and utilities | AVG Worldwide

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Thank you for the reply. Will implement suggestions right away.

So buying a new mobo and cpu would have been overkill at this stage?

Edit: I found the latest for the Sixxxx.sys from 6/4/2009, but Windows device manager tells me that I already have the latest drivers.

I've updated the hamachi.sys and the netr73.sys files.

I have checked it out and I can't find a more updated version for the siixxx.sys files, which probably means there is something wrong with the SATA controller?

I also recently had a new bsod with driver_irql_not_less_or_equal with stop in 0x0000000A

Edit: I uploaded the a new zip with the latest minidump.

Not the controller probably. The driver. You may need to re-install in compatibility mode
(compat mode=right click the installer>properties>compatibility>choose OS)

There is no installer file, when I downloaded the driver I got the .sys files, 2 .inf files, one .oem file, a security catalog and a .dll file.

I'm starting to feel fairly computer illiterate at the moment.

Ok what OS is the driver from (or for)?

Go to devie manger in the tab where that driver goes. Click update driver and navigate to where the inf file is stored. When you get there click on it.
