BSoD playing Star Wars the Old republic

Recently I have been invited into the Early access of The Old republic MMO by Bioware and Previously 2 Beta weekends My problems began in November while playing the game I would encounter some BSoD's .. now in November I had an Idea of what the issue was , I had puchased an 850W PSU and during the install I noticed a somewhat broken connector (all pins still there but the housing was not complete) but everything worked so I went ahead and used it

yesterday I began playing the Early game access, well the problems returned and so did my previous 500W but the issue continued, at this point I began research into what was causing it .. downloaded BlueScreenView. upon using the program I proceeded to update my video and sound drivers ... once that was complete I once again experienced a BSoD. the Good news is it didn't point to my video or sound cards ... bad news is the apparent underlying cause is ntoskrnl.exe+7cc40 which I have no Idea how to fix .... the .dmp files in the zip go way back into June (and looking at them Ive had issues with this file multiple times).... as far as I can tell it only happens under sever graphic use (but I cant remember back to June)

any help that you can give would be appreciated

and if you need anything else please let me know

- x86 (32-bit) or x64 - 64 Bit

- the original installed OS on the system - for all intents and purposes - yes ... I format before I install windows every time

- an OEM or full retail version - Full retail

- What is the age of system (hardware) - between 6(I think) and a year and 1/2)

- What is the age of OS installation - 9 months

edit: removed the .zip file added the system health HTML rezipped then readded

Best advice that I've seen about this error (from here: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tml#post356791 )
Quote:
What you're looking for will be in one of the following categories:

a) BIOS bug
b) a driver whose activity is causing the target processor to lock up
c) a hardware defect (temperature, voltage, dust, RFI, outright borkedness...)
Check the drivers
Check the inside of the case (temperature, voltage, dust, etc).
Run Furmark, and Prime95 below.

Prime95 Setup:
- extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
- double click on the executable file
- select "Just stress testing"
- select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight you may want to run the "Small FFTs" test instead.
- "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.

ok I found the tutorial and am currently running the test and posting from my laptop

Ran for approx 10 min Temp capped out at 79C at a 5-9 FPS (extreme turned on)

theres my Prime95 stats

[Dec 14 20:50] Worker starting
[Dec 14 20:50] Setting affinity to run worker on logical CPU #2
[Dec 14 20:50] Beginning a continuous self-test to check your computer.
[Dec 14 20:50] Please read stress.txt. Choose Test/Stop to end this test.

[Dec 14 20:54] Test 3, 7800 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M9837183 using AMD K8 type-2 FFT length 512K, Pass1=512, Pass2=1K.
[Dec 14 20:55] FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
[Dec 14 20:55] Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
[Dec 14 20:55] Torture Test completed 2 tests in 5 minutes - 1 errors, 0 warnings.
[Dec 14 20:55] Worker stopped.

Also I went ahead and let it run and roughly 11 hrs in I BSoS'd again

cause was the same file just a different extension Ntoskrnl.exe+ d48c9

Im hesitant to update my BIOS because Ive never done it before
but i looks like that is my logical next step since there is obviously an issue relating to the CPU

on a side note it only happens with this game and started in November (when I changed out that PSU) ... I had no occurences of this in October when I tested the game then

and then there was Fire

so I started prepping to flash my BIOS ... enabeling certain USB Items in in the Integrated Peripherials ... save and exited ... and then ... no Display ...

Called up Gigabyte and ended up having to pop my Cmos Battery to reset the BIOS

then ... I get Windows startup repair ... this has been running for rougly 30min so far

Edit - good news is it didnt hang for days

Edit 2 ... updated Bios from F1 to F6 .... once I get everything reset I'll run the stress tests

ok ... runing Prime 95 and am closing in on the 6 hour mark of the test with no issues that I can see ... in your opinion ... assuming the next 10 min pass uneventfully based on what I have seen in the last Couple days ... combined with the crash reports ... would you recommend that I continue to run it for the next 18 hrs and push for the full 24 ? or call it good with the 6

Grabed Speedfan while doing this ... not sure what everything means
the entries I have are
Temp 1
Temp 2
Temp 3
HD1
GPU
Core

any insight to what each means ... just figure if Im gonna run this I may as well moniter it as well

also grabbed Core Temp and am showing temps of mid 50C's on the 2 cores
