Well, that didn't take long. Renamed the extension, restarted the computer so the driver didn't load and got a Blue Screen and reboot a couple of minutes later.
Any thoughts?
At this point I'm so frustrated, I'm willing to do a fresh install of Windows. Does anyone know if that usually solves the matter?
Just wondering if anyone had any ideas after sleeping on it for a night :)
Thanks!
Run SFC
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Do you have any unnecessary USB devices attached to your system?
Update the Asus Data Security Manager Driver
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download
Thank you for your suggestions.
1. No problems after the scan
2. I don't have any USB devices attached to the computer which is why it's strange that I keep getting a message that one of the "devices attached to this computer" is not recognized.
3. I downloaded the Data Security Manager - when I click on the .exe file it asks if I want to repair it or remove it. I'm not sure which to choose?
Thanks so much.
Okay thanks - everything is completed.
Anything else I need to do?
