I just booted up my PC, was running fine in normal mode, tried to boot up that program you told me about so I can monitor temperatures. Then as soon as that alienware program kicked in my pc froze and locked up.

Just asking if its possible that the alienware programs drivers may be corrupt or something to cause crashing? I dont know. Just a guess.

Bah PC, doesn't seem to want to restart at all now.

Attached is all the info I could get temperature wise when it was booting up fine.
You can check to see if it is an application conflict by following the steps in Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Well I turned it on using that method and it started fine for the first attempt of the day. Which usually it doesn't turn on the first time, though its hard to judge since the PC randomly starts off fine at times.

Just booted normal and got an error with my thermal controller alienware program (Program I was asking about).

Ignore the avast! problem on the screenshot, that was my bad. Seems i forgot to re-enable it on msconfig.

However I am thinking thermal controller is the problem, because that error screen popped up a few minutes later, around the time the PC usually locks up

About to upload from safe mode

Do you have a way to re-install the thermal controller? Quite possibly trying to fix the registry with a registry cleaning program caused that program to stop working properly. To find out if you can re-install it, try inserting your recovery DVDs. The first disc should give you the option to re-install software that came with the computer. If you have not made recovery discs, now would be a good time to do so.

I do have it, just gotta figure out what disc it is. Can you install divers in safe mode? Trying to prevent dealing with crashes while installing software.

Scratch that. in the process of removing and reinstalling

Full program name was Alienware Command Center.

Would you happen to know if I even need Command Center? I havent changed my lights on my keyboard in like the 3 years ive owned it. And the thermal controller program on it, i think all it did was monitor temperatures, note even sure if it did anything but that.

Most people on here remove all the bloatware that comes with the computer and figure out what they want to install themselves, or they do a clean install and just get the drivers for the machine. Keeps the computer cleaner. I myself just remove all the stuff that comes with the computer that I know I won't use. If you don't think you'll use it, just uninstall it. You can always add it later if you decide it is something you want.

Hum. Well All my start ups today have been really good. Started up a game to see if it crashes and it has yet to do so. I think we may have found and fixed it. Gona wait and see if it goes a few days though. Ive had bad experience with yelling "Success!" to early :/

It's usually a good idea to let things run normally for a week and see if the system is stable during that time. If it is, chances are the problem was fixed. Hope it works out. Keep us posted.

Can you get to Advanced Boot Options at all? If so, go through the steps in System Recovery Options to run Startup Repair. You may have to run three times to fix all issues.

See Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times for further reading.
