As you were making this post, I was actually going through the logs and creating a selective zip file, but I deleted it and included all of the logs. There are a few that concerned me around the time my computer hung last night.

Symantec caught Steam as a possible threat, so i added steam to the exclusions list, but had second thoughts and removed it from exclusions. I've had issues with Symantec in the past and am considering getting rid of it.

NetBT states the 192.168.0.2 (computer in the living room running XP - for the kids) wouldn't allow my computer to assign itself to WORKGROUP? I just don't understand this one.

The hang last night was at 834pm, and there are 8 events within a 7 second period in that time frame. Also, the most recent errors from 12:45:50PM to 12:45:55PM are the errors logged during my boot sequence as this computer has been running memtest+86 since last night at 11:10.

I'm still working on making the BSOD rear its ugly head, though hangs/freezes are a bit worse in my opinion because they don't create a specific file, just error logs.

Just an FYI. I didnt notice you had Symantec. It would explain all of these symptoms.

JUST TO TEST! (I know how users love their malware apps) I would remove and replace it with something (For strictly this aspect I would suggest MSE).

I've removed Symantec, which was a fun chore due to it not uninstalling right and me having to get a copy of cleanwipe in order to remove it. This resulted in my NIC not working, which was completed by reinstalling not only the NIC drivers, but also the mobo chipset, audio, and (for good measure) the USB 3.0 drivers. I am now running MS Security Essentials.
I will continue to monitor my computer for the next week or so and see if I have any hangs or BSOD's. If all goes well, I will mark this thread solved, after 10-14 days.

I am not particularly attached to my malware/antivirus software. I want the most effective, least memory hogging software as far as that goes. Is MS Security Essentials sufficient for antivirus purposes? I am also running MalwareBytes anti-mailware Commercial version.

Zigzag, I have closed this thread as the original issue of the system crashing during the game I was playing. However, I now get blue screens which I cannot find a commonality to. Sometimes I'll get a BS after an hour or two, sometimes after the system has been up for 20-28 hours. For instance, my BS last night happened while I was asleep and the system was left turned on. I will be opening a new thread since these new BS's are caused by something other than the game I was playing.
Thank you again for all of your help on this issue last month.
