BSOD trying to use Xbox 360 Wired Controller (Win 7 HP x64)

I've used a wireless 360 controller with receiver now flawlessly for ~1 year. Bought a Wired one today, except whenever I plug it in, I get an immediate BSOD! I've taken the usual precautions of uninstalling MotionInJoy (both from control panel AND by deleting the appropriate driver from c:\windows\system32\drivers), but it still blows up every time I try.

I've gone to the Microsoft site and downloaded the drivers there too. Basically, I install the Accessories part, and that's fine. Then when I plug the controller in, it takes about 3 seconds and then BAM. BSOD. Upon restarting, if I plug it in, it doesn't BSOD, but it sure doesn't work either. Oddly enough, the MotionInJoy driver reappears in the system32/drivers folder occasionally after a BSOD.

Attached are various minidumps from today.

    Other specs:
    -Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit (6.1, Build 7600)
    -8 GB RAM
    -X58A-UD3R motherboard
    -i7 950
    -GTX 470 GPU
-Computer is a ~1 year old desktop, all built from individual components, Windows is full retail and was only installed way back when I built it.

Additionally, MagicDisc, MagicISO and PowerISO all installed, but as far as I know none of them contain the killer driver? You guys know more than I do.

Any help you can give would be much appreciated!

I got your fix. Go into device manager and disable the receiver, or uninstall if you do not need it. Me and my buddy had 2 wired 360 controllers and if we plugged 1 in the other refused to work. We had to plug both in and reboot to make it work. It also caused some BSODS now and then. I also know my street fighter stick and my wireless receiver cause conflict with eachother when I have both plugged in.

Worth a shot so disable/uninstall the other, or unplug it if its plugged in. This is all I can tell you from experience.

My apologies, I didn't properly read the BSOD posting instructions. All proper files should be attached now (the HTML report is saved as report.html).

EDIT: Any idea what the wireless receiver would be called/where I'd find it in Device Manager?

I have a chinese knock off, and mine is in windows common class controllers in device manager. Lately I noticed they work together and do not complain, and have been since I changed motherboards. What kind of chipset if on your motherboard? And does it have some sort of driver? I have an amd chipset now, last was an nForce, and it works fine. AMD has a usb filter driver for their usbs so I thought maybe intel/nvidia does too.

Man, and I thought I knew about computers. :<

    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1366 - GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 1.0)

Is my motherboard, looks like I'm rocking an Intel chipset...? I can't find the device under Device Manager so I'm guessing I've taken it out already when I uninstalled all the drivers for it earlier. Might try updating my motherboard drivers and see if that does anything...

Is it plugged in? You wont see it unless the receiver is.
