| | BSOD after Firefox update, now can not boot even after system restore Today Firefox popped up an update (3.6.25 IIRC) and I installed it. A few minutes later I got a BSOD. After reboot the screen shows the windows icon but not the log in screen. I forced shut down and let system restore go back to previous state (12/22/2011 windows update IIRC). It identified Firefox being affected and would try to go back to previous version. It successfully restored the system but after restart it still stuck at the windows icon. The icon keeps cycling brighter and darker. The hard drive light blinks about once a second. It is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit version. Please help! Thanks! |
