"It's not a true crash, in the sense that the bluescreen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds.

If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.

Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.

Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.

I would download cpu-z and gpu-z (both free) and keep an eye on the video temps Let us know if you need help

I have google chrome and it has built in flash, I tried another brauser, but still the same. And no problem with furmark or prime95. the load is not a problem. Just a single video what may cause the problem. Its really weird..can be normal many days, but today it crashed because i went to youtube and tried to push play button. After reset was all okey.

I tried older VGA drivers, updated bios, re-installed all what i can, updated all drivers..

    dmp file location was: windows/livekernelreports/WATCHDOG.

    Watchdog?

Does only one video cause it to crash?

Your dmp files should not be there. If they are someone has changed where they should be (in control panel) or some 3rd party app changing it.

If it is only crashing on videos, the Clock_watchdog shouldnt be occurring. CWD refers to CPU, and timing.

Windows is fresh and not modificated. All settings are defaults.

No, not only one video. It,s dosent matter what video. And it,s really rarely. CPU and all settings are default.
Maybe mb bios identified ram voltage wrong? I heard about that.

Corsair vegeance-- Its 1.50v and bios shows 1.50v. A friend reccomanded to put 1.65v.

    Sorry for poor english.

happened again, and screen went black, keyboard led-s stop reponding. But pc seems workd as normally.
HDD operating, DVD rom works, HDD activity led-s operating when i put cd in.

To check for freezing/crashing you need to check several things.

    1-Event viewer.

Type eventvwr in search and go to the windows log>application tab.
Look for errors. Errors have red in the left hand column.

Look for errors that say app hang, or app crash, or anything related to the problem.

When you find them either take a screenshot of them and upload them to us, or note the event ID and source codes and look them up in google. If you cant find them in google tell us what they are.
