BSOD MineCraft; error 0x00000101
Hi,
I just bought some brand new hardware. Components:
- CPU: Intel i5 2500K
- Grafische kaart: Nvidia GTX560Ti – MSI Twin Forzr
- HDD (storage): Samsung HD502HM
- SSD (OS): Crucial M4 128GB
- Moederbord: Asus P8P67 Pro
- Voeding: Corsair 850ATX
- (Case: Cooler Master CM 680 II)
- A Samsung DVD writer/reader
All hardware is well connected and recognized by the BIOS. Installed Windows perfectly, boot time is awesome. Although, I have a BSOD, , 0x00000101. “A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval”. I get this BSOD always when I play MineCraft. Let’s say in an average time of 5 minutes.
I looked up what this BSOD could mean and how its caused. It could be due bad graphical or DirectX drivers. I updated them to the latest stable version. Didn’t work out.
I also monitored the temperature. First the CPU, then the GPU. The temperature was of the CPU was rising slowly, but wasn’t higher than 50° C. Looked up, Core i5 2500K, max temperature is around 70° C. After few minutes, got a BSOD. SO I believe it isn’t the cooling, although it’s still the stock cooler. (plan to replace it) I also checked the motherboard, was around 30° C.
Same story for the GPU. Didn’t pass 40° C.
The BIOS isn’t updated yet, good idea to do so? The SSD has the latest firmware installed. I’m afraid it must be the CPU, what do you smart guys think?
