BSOD playing GTA IV Multiplayer, error 0xd1 0xe1.

I would appreciate some help here. Its been about a day and half and no replies.

AGGHH No one is helping me. Im getting REALLY frustrated. SO MANY people are looking at this thread and just skipping over it. Can someone PLEASE help me.

I do realize this must be frustrating for you but we are all volunteers and this is the holiday season.

You have several Issues that need addressing. This isnt going to be a quick fix.!!!


1-Old drivers from as far back as 2003. They cant work in win 7. Update or remove them.

How To Find Drivers:

- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

Your AVG (actually Avast). Remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials.

I notice your avast which is often at least a contributing cause of BSOD'S . Please remove and replace your Avast with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Third... GEARAspiWDM.sys. Used by many manufacturers (you need to find which is yours) is one of the causes of the crash. It is also from before win 7 was released and needs to be updated.




Fourth. Your athrx.sys (network driver) is from 2007 and needs to be updated.
