I received the BSOD twice today but have had periodically in the past couple of months. I'm curious if this could be a heat issue or if it is something else.

I wish I understood all the dumps but I don't. Appreciate any help you can offer.

Jason

My first suggestion would be to update your BIOS. 11/14/2008 was well before Windows 7 was released. Go to GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 775 - GA-EP45-UD3P (rev. 1.1) to download the BIOS information. You will want to extract the executable with 7-Zip by installing 7-zip and then right clicking the executable, pointing the mouse at 7-zip, extract to, the name of the executable. You do not want to update the BIOS through Windows.

Download both your version (F6) and the newest non beta version (F10). Extract them with 7-zip (if you need help beyond the instructions I gave, ask us). Then use the instructions in GIGABYTE How to Reflash Motherboard BIOS to flash your BIOS with the extracted files. That way, if Windows will not start after updating the BIOS (this is rare, but it does happen), you can flash back to your current version (F6).

Good luck!

update

I updated the Bios and was able to update a couple of the drivers. Some did not have the appropriate files or were trying to get me to buy their service.

Thank you for the advice and guidance. I will see how it does and if the BSOD goes away or not.

Alright, sounds good. Any drivers that you had difficulty updating we can flush out manually if we need to. If your system is stable now, I wouldn't worry about it, though. Best wishes!
