System Shuts down abruptly while playing Ashes Cricket 2009

    Hi,

Recently installed Ashes Cricket 2009 but system shuts down abruptly after 10 minutes of playing the game. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit version, 3 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 310M Graphics Card.

Any help will be much appreciated.

My first suspect would be overheating - no idea how demanding that game your playing is but the same thing would happen to me with GRAWII. I upgraded the heat sink and wound up getting a better case. But your system is a laptop, try some canned air and clean out the cooling on your system if you can.

Edit - does your laptop have a utility to monitor temps if not try speed fan and see if it's running hot.

That is pretty high. Measure again after 15 minutes to see whether it goes up..

I think you found your problem. Open the box and look whether there is dust or something else that could keep it from cooling properly. Else try to improve the climate in your box - e.g. with an extra fan.
