A disk read error occured press CRL ALT DEL TO RESTART

Hey this is my first post on this forum. Recently, I formatted my hard drive because I wanted to start all over. Accually it was a partition from my hard drive. Next time I booted up and THE error A Disk read error occured pres crl ALT del to restart. CRL ALT DEL DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. So I booted into my bios and the hard drive was still detected. Bios won't detect CD ROM so I can't boot from windows 7 CD. I do have a windows 7 USB. BIOS does reconize it but when I set it as 1st boot device and boot up, I get the same error. Please help. I hope my hard drive isn't dying because it is still recognized. please help me!

    Hi Panda4cash,

So I understand correctly, you deleted your partition? If so, the bios will recognize your hard drive, but you still will have to recreate your partition. If this is correct, continue.

Has your CD-Rom been detected prior to the format? You may want to unplug your computer and make sure the power and sata cables are securely connected. Replug, the boot to bios. Set bios to default. Bring up and see if your optical drive is now seen.

I didn't delete the partition, I formatted it. There is no operating system. How do I recreate my partition?
