    This issue is tied to the Mo3Fltr.sys - the file is unable to update. The program that utilizes the mouse updates properly but does not update the Mo3Fltr.sys file located under Windows-System32-Drivers. I have contacted SteelSeries in an attempt to see if there is a way to manually update this file to the proper date. Their site claims it was updated on 8/23/11 but again, file isn't reflecting this.

    To bypass I simply uninstalled the mouse and all its drivers. Instead of installing the steel series set of drivers, I allowed windows to do it. The mouse still functions on all buttons in World of Warcraft - however, I don't have the ability to customize profiles or the colors of the mouse's lights.

    I appreciate the help and patience you have given me during this. Of all things to cause my computer to BSOD, the last thing I expected was my mouse. I will keep monitoring it in hopes that I am correct, the BSOD is a little...random. I haven't had one in over a day and that's with a three hour stint on WoW. Which normally caused me to crash the most, makes sense now that I 'know' it was the mouse.

    I have the same mouse and same BSOD driver issue. I just uninstalled the Steelseries software and let the generic windows one run the mouse. Now I'm hoping that all these crashes are behind me, but still I was wondering if the fix worked for you...or have the system crashes come back, even without the Mo3Fltr.sys file running?
    It would just be really nice to see how it all turned out for you.
    Also, do you have a ticket in with Steelseries?

    I put in a ticket with SteelSeries - they were worthless. Apparently it hasn't become aware to them that the file is not updating when you update the drivers, just the software with the mouse. If you look in the folder - there is a file for Win7x64 that has an updated Mo3Fltr.sys. I am not too worried though.

    I have not had a BSOD since this point and continue to use my MMO Gaming Mouse on WoW. All buttons work appropriately in game and out.

    So far this seems the easiest fix for the problem. Hope it helps you too ^.^

    Thanks for the reply. Yeah SteelSeries is horrible past their initial "did you install the updated drivers?"...LOL..idiots.
    THey must know they have a problem but wont admit it.
    Anyway, love the mouse...cant heal without it...lol
