Windows 7: Windows acting weird shortly after start-up

I start up my PC and minutes after loading the desktop it pretty much freezes. Before it freezes I can just open things like My Documents and stuff and seems to work perfectly fine. After it freezes, clicking anywhere on the taskbar results into some message pop-up that asks if I want to close Explorer (Ok / Cancel)... Clicking anywhere else doesn't do anything. Anything with the keyboard stops working.
I'm currently in safe-mode which works just fine. Tried the F8 thing to load Windows in previous working state twice, but has no effect.

Is there anything that could help?



Also, I can't remember having done anything that I normally don't... except that I un-installed some games I don't play anymore to free up HD space yesterday.

Ok, I'm now in normal Windows mode, Firefox is running fine now. But Task Manager fails to work... it's frozen. Clicking anywhere on the taskbar still results in this message:

Cancel only closes the message but solves nothing...

EDIT: Wow... it suddenly started working again.
Still, anyone know what causes this to happen?

on your task manager select the "show processes from all users" and post a screen shot Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

Yup, sure. I know it's a long list... not sure if that's bad. Or how to make it shorter.

looks normal. you could try going to event viewer and seeing the list of errors under >custom views>administrative events

You say you unloaded some games to free up hard drive space.

I'm not certain on the ball-park figure, but as I understand it, once the used space reaches 80% you may have fragmentation issues, which makes the data harder to find.

Okay, thanks. It seemed like a huge list, so wasn't sure.=p
