    BSOD unknown origin, error 0x0000004e

I've been getting the BSOD sporadically for quite some time now and I am finally fed up.

Here is the STOP error information:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 4e
    BCP1: 0000000000000007
    BCP2: 000000000021DD10
    BCP3: 0000000000000001
    BCP4: 0000000000000000
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\011112-30654-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Dustin\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-54600-0.sysdata.xml

I've attached the dump file referenced above.

Here are some details on my machine:
    Gateway DX4300
    AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 810 Processor 2.60 GHz
    8GB RAM
    Windows 7 - 64-bit, full-retail
Hardware purchased in 2010, Windows 7 upgrade occurred early 2011

Not sure what the cause is, any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, there are a ton of files in my minidump in addition to the one attached, is this normal?

    thanks in advance,
    Dustin

I've updated my thread to include the files requested in BSOD requirements page.

Are there any particular reasons why I am not getting any replies?

There are many reasons you may not get replies. The crashes and debugging forums are the busiest on SevenForums, and they are not always monitored 24/7. Additionally, sometimes if you respond to your own post multiple times, those monitoring see the reply count and may assume another helpful user has posted a response. We apologize for not noticing your issue sooner. I will analyze your dumps now and give an analysis at the end.

This usually indicates problem with the hardware itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. If the kernel debugger is connected and running when watchdog detects a timeout condition then DbgBreakPoint() will be called instead of KeBugCheckEx() and detailed message including bugcheck arguments will be printed to the debugger. This way we can identify an offending thread, set breakpoints in it, and hit go to return to the spinning code to debug it further. Because KeBugCheckEx() is not called the .bugcheck directive will not return bugcheck information in this case. The arguments are already printed out to the kernel debugger. You can also retrieve them from a global variable via "dd watchdog!g_WdBugCheckData l5" (use dq on NT64). On MP machines it is possible to hit a timeout when the spinning thread is interrupted by hardware interrupt and ISR or DPC routine is running at the time of the bugcheck (this is because the timeout's work item can be delivered and handled on the second CPU and the same time). If this is the case you will have to look deeper at the offending thread's stack (e.g. using dds) to determine spinning code which caused the timeout to occur. Arguments: Arg1: fffffa800a07eb60, Pointer to a stuck thread object. Do .thread then kb on it to find the hung location. Arg2: 0000000000000000, Pointer to a DEFERRED_WATCHDOG object. Arg3: 0000000000000000, Pointer to offending driver name. Arg4: 0000000000000000, Number of times "intercepted" bugcheck 0xEA was hit (see notes). All but one of the .dmp files points to mcdbus.sys which is MagicISO SCSI Host Controller driver. I would uninstall MagicISO and install the latest version.

Also, update the following drivers with the help of Installing and updating drivers in 7,
    Driver Reference Table - sysnative.com - MVP,
and Drivers and Downloads to use as references for finding drivers and updating them.

Finally saw the follow up. Uninstalled MagicISO and updated the other drivers.

Thanks for the response and hopefully this will solve my issues!

    Cheers!
