Do you have a hardware RAID, software RAID, or hybrid RAID? I'm trying to read up on these to determine if removing your RAID setup will cause any issues. This really isn't my forte, so if you want better advice, I would suggest starting a thread in Hardware and Devices asking the same question posed in your previous post.
I'm afraid your guess is as good as mine. Its whatever the RAID controller is that came with the MOBO. If I am gong to lose all my data anyways (which I have backed up) I may as well rid myself of the root cause of the problem while I am at it. I just don't want some other unforseen issues by doing it. I will post something in the hardware forums and see what can be discovered there.

You should use your extra 600 GB drive as a backup drive after disabling the RAID controller. If you want help with backing up your system, see Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup and Imaging with free Macrium (I use the second one myself as it is an easier interface and less likely to be corrupted).

I have deleted the RAID array and have windows installing on a single drive right now. Crossing my fingers that this fixes my problem.

While it was a bit drastic sometimes it is necessary to make such changes. So far I have not experienced the problems I had before, but I hoped I wouldn't considering its a fresh install and hardware configuration. Thanks again for your help!
