I would suggest returning to an earlier System Restore point.
These errors usually occur due to the registry being corrupted. Registry corruption typically occurs in Windows 7 due to users installing and running registry cleaning tools. If you have done so, we do not recommend doing so in the future, and do not use a cleaning tool to try to fix the error as it may do more damage to the registry rather than "repairing" it.
If system restore cannot undo the problem, run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker (you may need to run it up to three times to fix all errors).
If SFC /SCANNOW is unable to repair your files, you will probably have to follow the steps for a Repair Install
