Computer randomly shuts down and then back in .

My computer randomly shuts down and in 3 seconds it starts again .
It sometimes shuts down on windows starting screen .
Please help .


Last week i had a lan with my friend in his place and my computer didnt shutdown and if i went at home first thing was shut down if i turned it on !! O.o

And my Graphic card Ati radeon hd 5700 is 56C at home and by my friend it was 36-39C if doing nothing . But i think its not overheating bec my computer shut down even if i it has been on for like 10 seconds or so .

Nope, right place. It's just that we need the information that that link asks for. With it we stand a good chance of figuring out the problem. Without it, there's nothing easy to do.

Without it, here's what to do:

1st - Run the Memory, Hard Drive, and Anti-Malware diagnostics at this link: Hardware Diags
2nd - Visit the PC Manufacturer's website and update ALL drivers and programs. Then update any devices and programs that you've added since getting the computer.
3rd - Then visit Windows Update and get all Windows Updates. If you don't have Service Pack 1, get it. Then get any remaining updates. There should be 70 or more updates after installing SP1.
4th - if it's still BSOD'ing, type up a list of installed programs and installed devices and post them with your next post. We'll tell you if any are known BSOD causes.
5th - run the remaining diagnostics at the Hardware Diags page
6th - try the Hardware Stripdown process if there are unresolved hardware issues: Hardware Troubleshooting Via System Stripdown
7th - point a house fan into the case if you suspect overheating.

The problem with the above list is that you don't know what the bad things are and what aren't bad things. That's where our experience comes in. Unfortunately, if you forget to include one bad thing, the BSOD's could continue despite our best efforts.

Tests in the first step? You'll need CD's and a program to burn ISO files to disk so that they'll boot (it's not just a copy). Info on that is in the links>

GPU stress test at 94ºC is too hot! Please investigate the cooling of your video card.
Since opening a window helps, then you'll have to look at all the cooling for your system (CPU, video card, memory, chipset/motherboard, hard drive, etc)

500 watt PSU is usually OK - as long as you haven't added too much to the system.
