What new RAM had you added? Manufacturer, frequency/timing, part number?

Is that CPU temperature idle or under stress (what percentage is being used)?

The new RAM is Crucial 8-8-8-24 BL25664TB1608

If you had the Crucial running with the Mushkin, that may have been part of your instability issues. I'm also a little concerned by the CPU temperature if that is at idle. AMD processors usually like to run in the 40s when being stressed. The max temp for that unit is 62-67 Celsius.

I have one exhaust fan running in the back and two on the side pulling air in. Would it be a good idea to have the top fan exhaust?

It would help a little, but most of the time, CPU heating problems are due to the heatsink on the CPU. You may want to pull the heatsink and fan off and reapply the thermal paste (I know that is a bit of a hassle as the fans are easier to put on than remove). See post #78 for how to apply the paste. Give gregrocker props for finding those two awesome videos. Careful as the CPU may still be hot.

Also, follow good ESD practices: Keep grounded, and after shutting down and turning off your computer, remove the power cord from the wall and hold down the power button for 30 seconds to complete the circuit and let any residual power in the computer drain.

Right, alright well thanks for the help. I don't have any paste so I'll have to buy some, hopefully that'll get the computer a bit more stable.

Alright I added the fan and it seems to be working so far. I'm still going to get the paste but now I have another kind of issue. It seems that all my games lock up but my computer doesn't I can ctrl+alt+del out and it'll take a minute for the game to crash after I open task manager but they crash very frequently.

Is it possibly because of the over heating CPU? I don't get a blue screen just the games them selves lock up.

Hard to say what is causing that behavior. Are you monitoring the temperature during play to see what it gets to before it crashes?

Alright I had kind of a similar experience again. This time the game froze but after waiting a while it responded. A while being like 5-6 minutes. I was playing minecraft. My CPU got up to 47C and my GPU at 64C. Not sure what Nvidia MCP is but that's at 60C. I feel it might not be related to overheating but I'm not sure.

Recently I've had some issues with my computer randomly rebooting while playing Minecraft, or so I thought it was a reboot. It seems windows created a minidump file which would point at it having been a BSOD I believe. It seems random, but when I play I'll be on for anywhere between 10 minutes...

Hello SevenForums, I put Minecraft on a clean install of Windows 7 Professional x64 and proceeded to fire it up for a bit of fun. The game ran for about a minute and froze up, the screen had red "squiggly" lines about it for about 15-20 seconds then it moved to BSOD stating something about a...
