Alright just an update. I'm not getting any blue screens of death anymore and my system isn't just freezing anymore either.

I am having a minor problem though. When I play games or when I'm on the internet there seems to be hang ups and in games the hang ups will last a while. I can bring up task manager and I can use alt+tab but it doesn't really switch to a different program and task manager pretty much just minimizes what I'm doing and doesn't open.

Given the time that has passed, please follow the https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html to provide us with your system and application logs. Those can help diagnose application hangs and system hangs.

Also, remind me again which antivirus software you are using. I have seen this behavior with two security programs I tested out in the past few months.

Running the program to get all the files together but in the mean time I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials.

Yeah, I would be surprised if MSE was involved. I have yet to see it cause problems on any system unless the system already had problems to begin with.

Let us know when you have all the error log files and can upload them.

Alright, one thing first off: remove the ask toolbar. It is usually installed as a tag along installation when installing other software and not needed. Not to say it is bad, but it is tag along software and not necessary.

Appears that you do have some Microsoft Security Essentials errors. I would recommend uninstalling through Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Uninstall a program. Then download and install the most recent version from Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

The above error relates to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables. Uninstall each of the following through Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Uninstall a program. Then re-install them from the links given below:
You need both the 64-bit and 32-bit (x86) versions. Then, you need to install the updates for all of them through Windows Updates.

I keep trying to install Visual C++ 2010 (x86) and It keeps saying "A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine." Can't seem to find why it wont install because I uninstalled all of them but now it wont install 2010 (x86). I don't think I could install it before either because I didn't have it installed on here.

It may have been included in a game or application you installed, and that is what is being picked up by the installer. Ignore for now and upload your logs again if you have issues again. Best wishes those steps stopped the problem. :)
