Full crash to no power Playing COD:4

    Quick question before i put it back together. Thermal paste is supposed to be wet isn't it.
    Cause the stuff on the gpu chip is like blue tack without the sticky. Lol

    The paste dries, but it is wet when applied. See post #78 for how it is supposed to be applied. Give gregrocker props for finding those two awesome videos.

    Its strange that 1 is wet and the other is dry. Oh well. Ill get some paste and redo it. Cheers mate

    Done. Initial tests are gpu maxing out at 70. Will upload the report when i get home.

    No problem. The thermal paste that ACER technicians applied did not look sufficient to me. Adding it as suggested in the video probably did the trick. Congrats on a running system! :)
