BSOD ntoskrnl.exe very frustrating
I have recently built a good and quite expensive pc. It was running fine for the first 3 or 4 months, but recently I installed Skyrim and I have been experiencing the dreaded BSOD. But for me I don't get the luxury of actually seeing the Blue Screen, my screen instantly spazzes out at random times and my pc then resets itself. I am pretty bummed out that I haven't solved the problem yet, my major is network engineering and I should know the computer inside and out. With that being said, I have learned a great deal more about BSOD and troubleshooting them. In my research I have found that ntoskrnl.exe is a memory reference, but that's all I really know about the executable.
I have done the following already: Updated all my drivers, installed recent windows updates, chkdsk on both hard drives, reformatted my OS hard drive, and then started all the previous processes again.
Still no luck :/
I have no problem contacting the RAM manufacturer and hopefully getting a refund or different sticks of memory. But before I do that, I would like to make sure that the memory is, in fact, defective and the problem will be solved with new sticks.
Thank you for your time and hopefully someone with more skill in this area can help me. It would be MUCH appreciated!
I have attached the necessary BSOD files as instructed.
Here's a complete list of my build:
Asus Crosshair V Formula MB
AMD Phenom II Black Edition
Radeon HD 6970
Crucial M4 SSD 64GB
Western Digital 1TB
G. Skill Sniper DDR3-1866 (2 x 4GB)
Asus Optical Drive
Once again, Thank you very much for your time!
