| Windows 7: BSOD while playin SWTOR |

#1 | | Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit |
BSOD while playin SWTOR So I keep getting a bsod while playing Swtor. It happens at randoms times, could be 5 minutes in or it could be 2 hours. I'm also getting them while using Mozilla Firefox(latest version. My systems specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium
ASROCK Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
EVGA GTS 560Ti
i5 2500k
OCZ Agility3 120g
Cosair 650
System is less than 2 months old.
BlueScreenView keeps saying that it is 0x000000f4. Caused my driver ntoskrnl.exe
I have updated all drives, made sure old video drivers are removed, and ran memtest with no errors. I am stumped as to what to do now. Any and all help would be appreciated. Hopefully this is the corrected dump file. Thanks!

Running 14 memory dumps from mid-Dec to present.....
We've seen lot's of issues with SSD's recently - to include firmware issues with some of the OCZ SSD's. Here's what I've compiled so far: Quote: There's not a whole bunch available to test SSD's. The "easiest" test is to remove the SSD, install a platter-based hard drive, install Windows and test for stability that way.
Here's some suggestions:
- Update the SSD's firmware to the latest available version (VERY IMPORTANT!!!)
- Slow the memory (RAM) down to the next slower speed (I've only seen one person who claimed that this worked for them).
- Use any manufacturer's utilities that you may have. If you don't have any, then try this free one (I haven't used it myself): Crystal Dew World
- Update chipset and storage controller drivers to the latest available from the manufacturer of the device (not the manufacturer of the motherboard). Be sure to update ALL controllers on the motherboard!
....NOTE: Recently (Nov 2011) we had BSOD issues with the Marvell 91xx controller and an SSD. You may have to switch controllers also.-
Replace the SSD with a platter based hard drive and see if that stops the BSOD's. If it does, then it's likely that there's a problem with the SSD OR an incompatibility with your system.
It's my opinion that SSD's aren't reliable enough (with current hardware) to be used on a system that needs to work reliably. Until I see reliability I will not recommend, nor will I use, SSD's for critical applications.
06 Dec 2011 - This post tends to confirm issues with certain SSD chipsets and certain controllers - [SOLVED] cant find the cause of BSOD F4 - Tech Support Forum Have you uninstalled the Virtu software? It shows in some of the earlier dumps, but there's no trace of it in MSINFO32. BSOD BUGCHECK SUMMARY Code:

I have uninstalled the Virtu, but it still crashes. I have been meaning to pick up another harddrive so I guess it is time to hit Newegg up. Also I will try to update the firmware on the SSD, but that requires a complete reformat if I am not mistaken? Update:
I checked and the ssd had the latest firmware version, so I updated the Intel Memory Controller driver and everything seems to be better right now. I will give it a few more days and see how it goes before I marked the thread as solved. You're still spitting out I/O errors.
Have you tried the CrystalMark tests? It's free from here: Crystal Dew World
IMO it's most likely the hard drive or the motherboard.
The easiest/cheapest way to figure it out is to purchase a platter based hard drive (that you can return for a refund) and install Windows on it. If the errors continue, then it's most likely the mobo. If the errors stop, then it's most likely the SSD | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built (x64), Lenovo x61s Tablet, Samsung Netbook OS Win7 x64 + x86 CPU Intel i7 920, other Intel chips, and the Atom in the netbook Motherboard Asus P6T Deluxe Memory 12 gB; 4 gB Lenovo; 1 gB Samsung netbook Graphics Card ATI 4870 Sound Card Yes, I have one of these Monitor(s) Displays 32" Sharp Aquos TV Screen Resolution 800x600 - I have vision issues Keyboard Microsoft Natural Mouse Logitech Trackman PSU 1000 watt (can't recall the brand) Case Antec 300 Cooling Big honking cooler that was rated highly at Toms Hardware Hard Drives 4 - 150 gB Velociraptors in RAID 5
