BSOD, Recently Installed USB Wifi Adapter

x64 bit.
Running Windows 7.
Full retail version.

At the most, hardware is no more than 2 - 3 years old.
The OS was installed about 4 months ago.

I did recently install a wireless usb adapter. A TrendNET 424UB (V2). But My system has been fine. This is really recent. Ive had 2 BSOD's in the last 40 minutes.

Your crash was related to sis163u.sys SiS163 USB Wireless LAN Adapter Driver from Silicon Integrated Systems.
Suggest you update to the latest.

Thank you very much! Problem is, that this is the most up to date version.
I suppose Im going to have to go without internet until I can get another wireless usb adapter.

Edit: After doing some reading online, it seems that Im not the only one to have this problem. Apparently it has something to do with the router being set to "mixed b/g", when the device supports only g. Perhaps I can prevent the BSOD by changing my router settings. Thanks for the help JMH.

You can try re-installing it in compatibility mode

Compatibility mode=right click installer>properties>compatibility>chose OS

Thanks guys, I'll try that.

I should also note that I only get the BSOD when I have uTorrent running. When Im not actively torrenting anything, my pc runs fine.
