thanks for the tip on the official avg remover. using the uninstaller left so many links splayed across my computer, i dont know what i would have done without an official uninstaller.

Over the last 24 hours I was able to get into my computer through restore, then remove the smartdefrag/avg/ad-aware , ensure that only the most essential services i use startup through msconfig options, and then update my computer's security via MSE and windows update.

Now i have just completed creating a manual restore point going forward.

shall monitor the BSODs going forward.
