Clumps of dots on desktop and BSOD after critical update

Hi, my computer is being very weird lately. I installed a critical update and it now shows clumps of dots here and there that disappear when i drag the mouse selection box thing over them. I also got a BSoD. My computer has become unresponsive even though RAM is at 43% average. I can't load games/videos or else it gives me a bunch of errors and texture problems and when I exit games everything gets sort of pixelated. I updated my driver(NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS) and still same problems. Please help! This is a big problem and i need it fixed. Google answers say its a driver error but I've updated all the drivers. If I need to reinstall my screen display driver, please tell me how, because I don't know how. I've tried safe mode and have experienced no problems. Please Help!

Does this mean you can get into safe mode and the problem stops?

If it does, then un-install the latest 'critical' MS update. You can do this by clicking on the control panel, then click Programs and Features. In the left hand column, click "view installed updates".

Did one of the latest updates have to do with .Net Framework?

yeah the problem is not showing in safe mode, im not finding the update, it was one of those ones that pops up and says you have <time> until we restart your system for a critical update.

    Wait... I'm not quite following

Was this an actual Microsoft update or were you on the net while browsing a site, when you got that message?
