I have sorted out the Kaspersky Anti-Virus NDIS 6 Filter problem by reinstalling KIS.

I also removed a piece of hardware that I no longer use, an analogue TV tuner card, which was on the list of drivers requiring updates (Ph3xIB32.sys). I'll get to work on updating the other drivers now.

Good news

An update on my problem in case anyone experiences similar. The BSOD's continued and started to form a pattern as they would occur pretty much weekly on or around a Saturday/Sunday.

On the 19th Feb I got back to find my PC was "awake" and was reporting 6 BSOD's in the space of 3 hours. In this case the crashdumps was stating "probably caused by : kl1.sys ( kl1+1ce5c7 )". A search pointed me towards Kaspersky. I removed KIS 2012 and so far...touch wood...no more crashes.

So the software provided "free" from my bank has cost me around £100 in hardware, not counting the energy bill costs and my time.

The moral of this story is, if the experts tell you to remove Kaspersky, remove Kaspersky!

Thank you for your help with this zigzag3143
