pc froze and now running good after chkdsk

i didn't even began im waiting till i can afford $25 at max for a new battery i could find one at radio shack right R even best buy

i guess im glad my pc isn't dieing and its a)the cmos battery b)a hdd failing
i already had the gpu pop a capacitor and i got to replace that as well but in due time
i read that my mobo isn't that great but so far my mobo seems to be the best part of the pc lol
for a cheap mobo so far its great lol

also to kind of rule cmos out maybe
i removed the sata connection from the mobo and left it connected to the psu
while it was connected just to the psu it kept making the sound like a engine trying to start repeatedly
but now that its connected to the mobo doesnt do it no where near as much

maybe i need a new psu maybe?
