odd that 3. was caused by ethernet controller, never used ethernet...

should i try the driver verifier first then the application conflict check?

will be able to do them in the next few days.

I would recommend that you try the application conflict troubleshooting first. Have you re-installed the audio drivers?

Download the latest drivers, uninstall the old drivers, delete driver software for the device if given the option by putting a tick in the box, and then install the latest drivers. You may have to restart your computer after the uninstall step, in which case, you will have to let Windows re-install the drivers on startup. After it is finished, then you can install the latest drivers.

I would suggest not restarting your computer between the uninstall and re-install unless Windows requires it, though.

Uninstall the Realtek first. Download the latest driver before doing so, then uninstall it through device manager. When you click uninstall in device manager, you will receive a message asking if you want to delete the driver software for the device. Put a tick in the box to do so before hitting OK. Restart the system only if Windows requests that you do so. Otherwise, just install the latest Realtek driver after uninstalling your current driver.

If you have to restart Windows, install the latest driver after Windows starts and after Windows installs the driver for the audio device.

Alright, now we see how the system responds. Post back after a few days how things are going. Best of luck!
