Well I just tired to boot on the 2gb ram and it wouldn't load on windows start up moved it to the other slot and same thing so don't think it's the slot I just also tried the other 2gb that I have taken out and replaced with a tempory 512 like I mention in a pervious post.. That didn't load past the windows loading screen either and on the first try in one slot it got a bsod.. I tried the 512 on its own in both slots and it loads fine

It seems to be better without the netgear device in maybe because the ram is bad it's not liking the info from the netgear device could that be possible?

Test each stick with MemTest. If it has an error, it's most likely bad.
If all sticks have errors, test them in another slot.
If any sticks are good, test the good one in all the slots.

If all sticks test bad in all slots, then it's uncertain if the problem is in the RAM or the slots (or maybe in other components).

If that's the case, try running Prime95.
Make it run each test (Blend, Small FFT's, and Large FFT's)
Time how long it takes it to make errors (if it crashes, that counts as an error)
Let us know the results - that'll tell us roughly where the memory error is coming from.

I've no clue - but if the stick is bad, it's gonna be bad no matter what you test it with.
