I have tried reinstalling uTorrent, installing an older version uTorrent and tried BitTorrent, but nothing helped. They should be basically the same. I will try Azureus tomorrow and see if that helps.

And yes, it seems to only happen when running uTorrent.

When you installed the latest update for your network adapter, did you do the following steps?
  1. Click Start Menu
  2. Right Click My Computer/Computer
  3. Click Manage
  4. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
  5. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
  6. Right click the device
  7. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  8. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
  9. Restart your computer
  10. Install the latest driver for the device once Windows starts.

Alternatively:
  1. Login as an adminstrative user.
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Click Control Panel
  4. Click Hardware and Sound
  5. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
  6. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
  7. Right click the device
  8. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  9. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
  10. Restart your computer
  11. Install the latest driver for the device once Windows starts.

Nope. Didn't do step 8. Trying now. I'll let you know.

Also no chance on System Restore. First restore point is 1st Feb 2012, which is too late.

Sorry to hear about the restore point. Let us know whether step 8 helps. Sometimes re-installing a driver using that method will allow the installation to replace any corrupted versions of the drivers.

Same crash as before. We should check for Windows corrupted files. Maybe your installation did not go cleanly. Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker up to three times to fix all errors. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations.

It continued to show errors after a fourth run.

I didn't restart my computer and had firefox and ventrilo opened at the time. Just thought I'd mention(OPTION TWO).

No big deal. I usually have things open when I run it and it still comes up clean. At this point, I would recommend considering a Repair Install of Windows 7. If you need help to set up the repair install, let us know.

Well the thing is that I don't mind doing a clean install on windows. I don't have much installed anyways. But I would do it at the weekend. Is it a better choice?

Clean install is less likely to keep your current problems on the computer when finished, so if it is not too inconvenient, it is the better option.
