    Blue Screen WinDebug

    Dear members,
please help me in finding out the reason for my blue screen, from my vista pc.

I uploaded the dmp file in a zip, in windebug I allways receive the message that symbols cannot be shown:
    ------------------
***** Kernel symbols are WRONG. Please fix symbols to do analysis.

    Thank You

For future reference, this is Seven Forum not Vista Forum. They have their own forums for support - Vista Forums

But because I can debug both, I will assist you.

    Please upload a full report
    https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html

Start off by updating to SP2 - How to obtain the latest Windows Vista service pack

    STOP 0x00000051: REGISTRY_ERROR

Usual causes: Hardware failure, File system corruption, Security issues

Updating to SP2 might resolve this issue. If it doesn't run these tests I list below

    1. Memtest86 - Run for 7-8 passes - RAM - Test with Memtest86+
    2. Prime95 - Run all three tests for 3-4 hours each or until fail - Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95
    3. SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
