    i think knock on wood was my problem thank you so much for all your help im just new to i7 world but who aint

    errrrrrrrrrrrr i locked up again


    ok im lost my ram voltage is at 1.5 volts
    and ram bus voltage is at 1.64 volts
    and it still locked up errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    You should reset your voltages back to default. It appears that your issue has a different underlying cause. Higher voltages shorten the life expectancy of these components.

    no need to be upping your gpu voltage, if anything you shud up its your chipset voltage...

    Like antman said, use the default bios setting..

    Or is there some kind of Best known configuration setting or something along the lines setting in the BIOS?

    I know Gigabyte mobo's have these

    its the stock voltage for my ram. it is in the corsair manual

    last time it locked up in ie8 but it has lockED up in random programs in the past

    Change your RAM VOLTAGE to 1.65

    ok i went into bios and tried to set ram bus volatge to 1.65 and i put in that voltage and it changed to 1.66. so for some wired reason my ram bus voltage has to be set at 1.64 volts or 1.66volts, and 1.65 will not accept.

    also it says if you go over 1.65 volts it says u can damage cpu so i got it at 1.64 volts. man im flustered
