Windows 7: BSOD & SWTOR (Dump Inside)

The controller drivers were the only ones listed on Microsoft website, and i guess there was never a need for them to update them hence the 2009.I'm going to move it from the top usb port to the open port on my keyboard since the other 4 ports are being used by, mouse, keyboard and mic. I'm also going to let memtest run for a few passes and check the ram, i figured 4-8hour run time should do the trick.

Memtest should run 3 passes minimum - overnight is preferred.

Memtest ran for 25 Hours with a total of 11 passes. Im going to run the pc now with the controller in a different usb port and see how long it lasts. I added 4 more usb ports to the computer because i ran out of open ports in the rear

I had eye surgery on Monday, so I can't review the entire topic. Please let me know if I'm repeating anything.

Run Prime95 for at least 24 hours on the Blend test, then run it for a couple of hours each on Small FFT's and Large FFT's - just to see if it spits out any errors/crashes.

Driver Verifier enabled memory dump on 26 Feb points to XBox USB controller
Driver is also loaded (but not blamed) in 1 Mar memory dump

Uninstall the software for the XBox controller and then remove the device from your system
Test for further BSOD's without this device being connected (latest drivers for this device are from 2009 - and I've seen a lot of BSOD's recently that have this driver in them - but don't necessarily blame them). I have to wonder if there's a problem with the xusb21.sys driver conflicting with a recent update - either Windows Update or another software update.

Gotta wonder why you're also running Logitech mouse and keyboard software (in addition to the Razer Synapse drivers). If not needed, I'd remove them immediately!

If that doesn't fix things, then we start with the rest of the hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diags

Good luck!

Gotta wonder about the BIOS also - it dates from February of 2008
Be very, very careful with BIOS updates!!!
One small mistake and you can render you system permanently inoperable!

i have not touched the bios because i tired once a year ago and im not 100percent sure of what im doing and like you said i do not want to demolish my system cause im doing something i shouldn't be when i don't feel comfortable doing it in the first place. as for the date...the newest bios i found wasnt that much newer than the one thats on the system now...abit is horrible at updating things like that

the logitech setpoint is for my G700 and the razer software is for my keyboard, hence the reason i have both installed. im very disappointed in this xbox controller issuer because it clearly states on microsofts website that its windows7 compatible plus its a microsoft product there should be no issues. I uninstalled the software for it anyway and downloaded prime95 x64 version and will run that tonight

The compatibility table is only a compilation of results from manufacturers (so the XBox controller people don't work with the Windows people - it's essentially a separate company). The Windows people don't certify the software in the table - they just report what the manufacturer's have told them.

So, even if it says it's compatible, it's only because of the testing that they did.
Future updates can't be tested for until the update comes out - so it's a crap shoot if they'll work or not.

If my suspicion is correct (that it's an issue between the XBox controller drivers and a recent Windows Update), then we should see an update for the drivers. If it's not that issue, then the XBox people won't update the driver.

in regards to the bios you brought up...after going back and finding my box and book for my mobo i came across a feature that came with the mobo which is incorporated into uGuru. seeing that the newest uGuru is from 2008 not sure how much this will help but there's a feature called Flash Menu One click Bios update that allows me to update the bios online or offline. after going to abit site and looking for the latest bios for my IP35 Pro board i see that the most up to date bios is also from 2008. Should i redownload and install uGuru and run that bios updater to update my bios as much as i can atm or should I just leave it alone. Also im on hour 22 of the Prime95 test and everything seems good the tests have all passed so far with no crashes or errors that i can see.

Leave the BIOS alone for now.
Run the Small FFT's and Large FFT's - then start the hardware diagnostics
