What steps did you take to resolve the problem? Anything beyond the fresh install, or did the fresh install fix it on its own?

I guess fresh install fixed it. Clean disks with the most recent drivers

But now I have some other problems.
I made new thread in the other section. LINK

If you are no longer having crashes, you may mark this thread solved.

I will follow the other thread and give any input I can think of, but you are already in good hands there with the two people who have responded, so I probably will not be needed.

BSOD portcls.sys
I noticed when everytime I opened skype, it BSODs and says portcls.sys. These minidumps are from the driver verifier so hopefully the BSOD was triggered by the driver verifer. From what I read, it may be the sound driver or something but I'm not sure where to go about with it. Thanks
