Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:
  1. Click Start Menu
  2. Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
  3. Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
  4. Expand Custom Views
  5. Click Administrative Events
  6. Right click Administrative Events
  7. Save all Events in Custom View As...
  8. Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
  9. Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
  10. Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
  11. Upload the .zip file here.

Also, looking over your errors from before: Event ID 4107 or Event ID 11 is logged in the Application log in Windows and in Windows Server

The installation is unable to find the reference to the program. Have you cleaned the registry recently, by any chance?

It may also be due to corrupted data on your system:

You never answered whether you used a registry cleaner at some point on your system. Registry cleaners often cause problems similar to what you are seeing.

Also, what were the results of your disk check and system file check?

It may. Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.

In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to Optimize Windows 7.

Return to a restore point from before using that program and see if you can install the driver.

After you install the driver, you will need to redo the steps in post #2 removing Norton, post #6 removing Smart Defrag, and post #8 Diagnosing basic problems with DirectX.

Does the advanced system care create a backup of the registry before cleaning it? I am not familiar with that program. If it made a backup, you could try restoring the registry settings.
