Razer website isn't responding for me.

Not a problem removing the driver, that's why we're here. Here's how to remove the Razerlow.sys driver safely:
- download a fresh copy of the Razer driver from here (looks the same as your link): Razer Diamondback Windows 7 Driver v6.02
- uninstall the Razer software using Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program
Then do this:
Quote:
- create a System Restore point.
- create a System Repair disc and ensure that it works. To do this, go to Start...All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc
- disable any startups that name Razerlow.sys using Autoruns (free from here: Autoruns for Windows )
- rename Razerlow.sys to Razerlow.BAD (it's probably in C:\Windows\System32\drivers)
- reboot and see if that fixes the problem(s)
- Then install the freshly downloaded copy of the Razer driver
- check to see if an outdated Razerlow.sys appears in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder
- monitor for further BSOD's

Another 2 BSOD's

Juist had another 2 BSOD, first was a SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. Second was a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION.

I have even tried completely removing the Razer software/drivers and naming the Razerlow.sys > Razerlow.Bak and just using a run of the mill basic wired laptop mouse and still it Ble screened.

Anything else I can try?

Thank you for your quick responses.

According to the memory dumps, Razerlow.sys is still present (and loaded) in C:\Windows\System32\drivers.

As additional step(s):
- check in services.msc for any Razer services and if found, set them to Disabled
- check in Device Manager for the Razer device and uninstall it from there also (right click on it and select "Uninstall").

Then follow the steps from the previous post to remove Razerlow.sys - and then DON'T install the Razer drivers. Reboot a couple of times to be sure that the driver is gone - then see if it stops the BSOD's.

If the BSOD's continue after finally getting rid of the Razer stuff - then we start looking at your video sub-system.

Further info on BSOD error messages available at: http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs:
3RD PARTY DRIVERS PRESENT IN THE DUMP FILES
- Create a System Restore Point prior to doing any of this. DO NOT mess with the drivers themselves - leave the Windows\System32\drivers directory alone unless we specifically direct you to it!
- Please either update the older drivers from the device manufacturer's website - or uninstall them from your system. Reference links are included below.
- DO NOT use Windows Update or the Update Drivers function of Device Manager.
- Please feel free to post back about any drivers that you are having difficulty locating.
- Windows Update exceptions may be noted below for Windows drivers.

Reet, I have checked the services.msc, nothing related to Razer in there.
Uninstalled the Razer software, restarted the machine,
Used autoruns to disable the startup of Razer
Renamed Razerlow.sys > Razerlow.BAD
Used ccleaner to clean the registry
Restarted the computer twice and clean shutdown and boot but both instances of Razerlow are still in the drivers folder (from the first and second installs of Razer software.
Now my mouse doesn't work, so using the bog standard laptop mouse again.

Also upon researching this i found a forum with someone who has a similar problem with the razer drivers for the diamondback, uninstall the 2005 drivers, d/l the newest from razer which should be 2009 yet the 2005 ones get re-installed. will provide a link if I can find the forum again (got lost in a restart)

Also just looked in the regedit and the Razerlow file is still in:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Razerlow

thanks

Another BSOD

Yet another BSOD while i was at the shops, the computer was completely idle!

Bluescreenview says it was a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA

dump files attached

I am aware that perfmon reports that the mouse isn't working thats because there is no driver/software for it, I have now unplugged the mouse to see what happens.

If the razerlow.sys is still present and you can't get rid of it - the only alternative that I can see is a backup, wipe and reinstall of Windows. This time using only the latest version of the Razer drivers.

Sorry for the delay in reply, was V-Day yesterday afterall, (oh what fun!)
Any way, I have work this evening so I will wipe this test HDD tomorrow and reinstall Win7 without the razer mouse plugged in. Don't really care about the mouse, just want a stable system.

Not a problem, let us know how the test comes out (I'm wondering about the possibility that there may be a hardware problem with the Razer mouse also)

Good luck!

BSOD at seemingly random times, memory dump blaming random drivers
