    BSOD happens randomly ' 0x00000101 '

I have bought a new computer last August - so it is 6 months old.
Since I have got it, I randomly get the BSOD Stop 0x00000101 "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval".

I have updated all of my drivers, and now the computer is just randomly freezing.

I have attached my pc spec and the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2, i tried to get the 'perfmon /report ' and it gave an error

'An error occured while attempting to generate the report.

The system cannot find the path specified. '

    PC Spec -

    Windows 7 64 bit
    i5 2500k CPU @ 3.30 GHz
    BIOS - American megatrends 0501, 9/5/11
    SMBIOS version: 2.6
Motherboard: ASUSTEK Comp Inc, model P8Z68-V
    Chipset:
Northbridge Intel Sandy Bridge rev. 09
    Southbridge Intel Z68 rev. B3
    Graphic Interface PCI-Express
    PCI-E Link Width x16
    PCI-E Max Link Width x16
    Memory Type DDR3
    Memory Size 4096 MBytes
    Channels Dual

    Graphics: NVIDA GeForce GTX 560

    Please help.

What you're looking for will be in one of the following categories:
    a) BIOS bug (you have the latest BIOS version installed)
    b) a driver whose activity is causing the target processor to lock up
    c) a hardware defect (temperature, voltage, dust, RFI, outright borkedness...)

It would help if you could enter your System Specs in the area provided

    Thanks.

So, you're saying that it isn't my BIOS - as I have the latest version installed.

    Hardware:
    - I don't think it is temperature, as the CPU is always between 40-50 degrees C, and the crashes happen even after I have just turned the computer on.
    - I would like to exclude hardware, as the crashes started soon after I bought the desktop and are now simply increasing in frequency.

I have just updated all of my drivers.

What can I do? or is there a tool you can recommend that I use to check if any of my drivers are causing the issue?

a.) Could mean the latest BIOS is the one that has the bug.

    b.) You could run Prime95 - 64bit
    Code:
    CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT (101)
An expected clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor in an MP system within the allocated interval.

This indicates that the specified processor is hung and not processing interrupts.
This means your Central Processing Unit (CPU) may be bad.

c.) Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

I have been running prime 95 - 64 bit for about 2 hours now, I will let it keep running until it finds a fault.

And I will check the driver verifer if no faults have been found by prime 95- at the end of its cycle.

If I have any problems I will let you know.

    Thanks for the help.

    Your welcome!
You should run Prime for at least 10 to 12 hours on blend, and then do an IntelBurn test for at least 50 passes: IntelBurnTest - 2.4 Download - EXTREME Overclocking

There is also this CPU test at the bottom of this page: Stability / Burn-in - Tests - EXTREME Overclocking
