BSOD errors seem to be related to memory, codes include : 0x0000001e

    · OS: Windows 7SP1
    · 64 bit
    · XP 32 bit. Has since had the drive reformatted.
    · The Operating System was a student upgrade version but is now a full retail version (I called Microsoft Support a while back)
    · System is approximately 1 and a half years old (Graphics card only seven months) It is self-built.
    · OS is seven months old. I reinstalled the OS MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT (what prompted me to call MS) but the BSODs persisted.
    · AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition
    · XFX Radeon 6870 1GB
    · ASUS M4A88T-M AM3 AMD 880G
    · XFX 550W Core Edition
Virus Software: Malware Bytes Anti-Malware AND MSE OFC

    CPU-Z Validator 3.1
    (For a little more information)

I was receiving constant blue screens throughout the month of December, and after having replaced my HDD and RAM (which didn't fix the problem) I RMA'd my processor back to AMD. I received the new processor in early January and went a full month without any problems. As of a few days ago the bluescreens have returned in full force.

At this point I'm thinking it's a problem with the motherboard. But I'm posting here to make sure before I try to RMA something again.

While I wait for a reply I will run memtest and a HDD diagnostic.

EDIT: Also, I think it's worth noting that motherboard does not seem to be able to provide a steady current to the Vcore. If I set the Vcore to 1.35, it will fluctuate between 1.32-1.35.

I don't mean to break any rules by bumping my own thread, but I'd just like to add that, after a blue screen I usually fail to boot a few times in a row. Once I tried to boot into safe mode immediately following a blue screen, and I got screen "tearing" sort of at the top and the computer froze. I would assume this indicates a hardware problem.

Sorry you apparently got missed, it happens it's a very busy site.
Give about 15 minutes and refresh this page, I'm looking at your dumps now.

Edit, okay you need to remove riva tuner.
    It's not happening.

I don't have RivaTuner, but what I do have is MSI Afterburner. Is that what you meant?

Edit: Also, not a problem. Thank you very much for your response.

well you're system is loading the OLD rivatuner 64 bit driver, and I know it's a problem causer in win 7 (was never updated for it properly)
Basically out of that big wall of code text up there this is the line that really matters.
    Code:
    RTCore64.sys Wed May 25 01:39:12 2005 (42941D90)
Anyhow see we have this little database built up here of drivers that cause people problems this one and it's 32bit cousin are both in it.
it can be related to afterburner as well. Which would explain why it wound up on your system.
the following is the entry. They still don't support windows 7 and probably never will.
    Code:
    RTCore64.sys
    RivaTuner/EVGA Precision/MSI Afterburner (known issues w/Win7)
    RivaTuner

I see. I went ahead and uninstalled MSI Afterburner and declined to "save any settings." Should this take care of the driver or do I still need to delete it manually?

it should be gone, you can check for it if it makes you feel better it should be located in c:\windows\system32
I would also reboot after checking.
If you get another bsod after this I want it to be clean of this problem so I can see what else is going on.

Hopefully this solves you though. I'm fairly confident it will.

RTCore64.sys is the file name you'll be searching for.

actually sorting by date should do it, I doubt you have anything else in that folder dated 2005.

It's gone, but I have more old drivers than I would have thought. They seem DX9 related though, but are any notorious troublemakers with win7?

direct x 11 is backwards compatible. So yes it would actually be normal for it to contain older files.
