ok, thank you for being patient with me
well after looking and looking it appears that my machine it getting quite old and as a result the original drivers for my machine might not be available, i have found that my machine is a packard bell imedia 5070 if this helps any,
i really don't want to install driver doctor or anything like that if i can help it, as they usually send me to a page where i need to pay for something and i don't do internet purchasing.
to add, once i uninstalled daemon tools my computer now can't find a windows service to run from? i'm so confused but want to get the audio thing sorted as that's what as you said is causing my BSOD.
thankyou
