Glad you had it covered. Best of luck!

Just for the sake of discussion, I'm showing the last memtest, memtest+ 4.2. It reads the ram and to some extent the CPU wrong. I have outlined in red the items I am sure are wiron. I am running DDR3 2133 at 2133, Winsat Mem says the ram is 28850MB/s CPUz and BIOS both show 2133 (1070), BClock of Sandy Bridge is 100, mine at 100.3. If the system runs the test based on what it reads, and is reading wrong, wouldn't that make for an error or malfunction for sure?

Unfortunately, I am not familiar enough with RAM settings to venture into this discussion. I am still in the process of learning from Dave76 the intricacies. I'll see if he is interested in the post and maybe we can all learn something.

Hi guys, thanks for the invite to the party.

Generally for OP, rtc0523,
1. Re-download memtest86+, could possibly be a corrupt copy.
2. When testing the video RAM, you have a CPU/GPU which is the same as onboard graphics in that it is using solely system RAM, so it is telling you as far as the integrated GPU is concerned the (system) RAM is bad. This may be an issue with the GPU part of the CPU or be faulty (system) RAM, which is what I would check first.
Also, memtest86+ is likely testing the RAM that the integrated GPU is trying to use, since these are fairly new I don't think memtest86+ is setup to test your RAM correctly.
If you have a spare discrete graphics card to install, then you could test the RAM and see if it is doing the same thing.
If it's not too late:
Download CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.
For posting the information , enter 'Snipping tool' in the Start button > Search box, hit enter. Select the area you want to post and save to a convenient place.

@essenbe
Is this from your new system or the 2600K/P67 Extreme4?
I think your issues are due to the new Intel CPU and Chipset, the last version from memtest86+ is dated 25/1/2011, so it's likely just not compatible with the new CPUs and chipsets.

Here is a similar issue with a 2500k CPU, is the pic similar to yours.
!u7U! weird symbols but no apparent errors, same link as posted by writhziden, but that link had no pics, for me anyway.

@Dave, that is the version showing in the pictures I posted. I think it is the new chipsets as several programs don't work correctly. HW Monitor shows the +12V as 8.3V. I know that is wrong because the computer booted. Real temp seems to work good, but event viewer shows a thermal warning and says all cores were shut down. That didn't happen. It occurs every time I turn real temp on. I just figured there was some incompatibility with the sensors where it made the OS think that happened.

I wouldn't trust memtest86+, RealTemp, or any utility that shows any kind of abnormality.

It's fun being on the bleeding edge

Unfortunately I already shipped the parts out. I really hope its not the ram because I did not RMA those. Do you think I should submit another RMA for the ram to be safe? I wouldn't mind waiting if it was my pc but since I built it for a friend I feel bad that they're going to be computerless for however long it will take newegg to send me the new parts.

The G.Skill site lists older Intel chipsets as compatible.

Is this the RAM: F3-10600CL9D-4GBPK

It's always a good Idea to check the compatibility of the RAM on your motherboard.
Sometimes they will work, sometimes they need setting adjustments and sometimes they just won't work.

Your chances are better if the RAM website lists your motherboard and next best thing is if they list the chipset.

Yup that's the RAM. I put in an RMA for it this morning also just in case figure replace those the RAM/CPU/Mobo and the problem should go away. And I figured as long as I matched the speed to what the mobo supported it should work. Could that possibly be the problem that the RAM doesn't work with the mobo?
