If you run the Seatools in DOS mode and run the Long Generic Test, at the end it will give you the option to repair all errors.

Yea that's why I wante to run the Dos one... I am at 75% and so far it has found 3 errors

Damn... cold world! I finished the scan and it said that i had 4 errors. When i tried to have them repaired, it told me that it was a non-seagate drive and therefore cant be repaired... it tells me to check with the drive's manufacturer but it's a Samsung drive... and according to my web searches... there is no more samsung website because seagate bought them... what can i do????

Oh wow.. tough break, your luck is almost as bad as mine. Call Samsung and let them know the tools have found errors and such, and describe your issue to them and what we've gone through already to eliminate other culprits. Hopefully if you're under warranty and they'll replace the drive.

Can anyone help me find this tool "HUTIL Drive Diagnostic Utility?" It's for Samsung hard drives and is similar to SeaTools for Seagate Hard Drives??

@ePeen My drive is not under warranty and Samsung wasn't much help :-( i did some research and found the name of the tool that they used but unfortunately i havent been able to find it...

Here's what you may be looking for. It's from 2008, but I'm sure it does just what it says its intended to do regardless of the version #.

AGHHH!... not good luck... tried to run in DOS and the program says it cant execute because my RAM is located on C:... i tried to run in Windows as the program will work in Windows but it's not compatible with Windows 7... and i even tried running in compatibility mode but that doesnt work either... :-(... im going to try 2 more things. My friend seems to think for sure that i have a virus... He said that i should try running a scan with Microsoft Security Essentials since he has had virus's get past Norton and Kaspersky. He said he has caught more stuff with the Microsoft Security Essentials... so i am running that scan now.. once that scan is done, i will pop in the Windows Disk and try to do a repair (if it lets me). Also, when trying to restart my computer the last time, i am still getting Windows is waiting for program to finish and close... the box stays empty for about 20-30 seconds and then Explorer.exe (playing logoff sound) displays in the box... if i force restart it will shut down and go to the logging off screen for quite some time and then shut off and restart... if i dont hit force restart i get a blue screen... howerever it doesnt create a dmp file... blah... im starting to get fustrated... lol

Malware is a possibility, yes. Give Malwarebytes a try and see if anything pops up during a quick scan. MSE scan would be good, too.
