Error's, Crashes, BSOD Oh My. Combo BSOD's

Sadly it would seem clicking my heels together has yet to render a solution so I thought you fine folks might know whats wrong with my baby. Of late ive been getting random freezes, and I do mean random. Sometimes they occur during full screen game operation or doing nothing but chatting on msn.

A lot of the freezes just sit in game, no HDD activity or otherwise attempt to do anything but sit in the frozen wonky screen sometimes it goes to a BSOD of which is a System Service Exception and IRQL Not Less Or Equal

Also of note there has been ZERO OCing to the rig itself and I had MSI afterburner installed but mainly to monitor GPU temp the new radeon card I got ran at 123.8 degrees, obviously a mite to hot so I RMA'd and the latest card was working fine up until this BSOD and freezery nightmare.

Also this all seemed to be preceeded by the damndest thing which was avg virus scanner (ive since switched to Security Essentials) tried to quarentine my ccc.exe for the video card. Which as far as I knew was not a trojan and rather a core hunk of my video cards drivers and management.

The system was purchased back in July of '10 and has since gotten a few upgrades from standard.

Buy the iBUYPOWER Gamer Power 518D3 Desktop PC at TigerDirect.ca <--seriously I didnt format it like that. They arent even selling it anymore. Wacky html.

Was the box in general with OEM windows 7 64 pre-installed since then ive broken a fan on the case and replaced that. And gotten a new video card from XFX its a Radeon HD 5770 all the rest is as the webpage up yonder. And a new RAM chip which is this bad boy below. First link is exact vid card second is ram chip.

    Newegg.ca - XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Buy the Kingston Blu HS 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Memory Module at TigerDirect.ca

My apologies if this is a incomplete post just on my way out to work will update tonight if im missing anything.

I have also updated my system specs on the profile with as much information as I was able to. The Powersupply will be updated when I get home tonight.

    Hello Feonir,

My first suspicion would be SPTD (a component of Daemon Tools). First, uninstall Daemon Tools, and then remove SPTD itself with the appropriate tool from here: DuplexSecure - Downloads

Next, update your Realtek ethernet adapter drivers: Realtek

I'm seeing a bunch of network-related problems in the logs, some of which may be related to the troubles with MSE I'm seeing.

    Code:
    Rt64win7.sys Thu Aug 20 12:05:06 2009 (4A8D7432)
Hopefully, those two steps alone will solve the BSODs. If not, upload a new jcgriff2 report, and, while waiting for me to reply again, quickly run through the Prime95 tests (30 minutes for each one).

Finally, it would be a very good idea to install your Windows Updates, including SP1. Security flaws are being patched all the time, but if the updates are not installed, then the system is still vulnerable.

Followed your two posted steps then ran the Prime95 after installing speedfed, almost immdiately (Read: 1-2 mins) in the system does what it normally does and went blank screen, oftentimes during these 'crashes' the graphics will go into what I call FTFOM or Freak The **** Out Mode. Its a static screen of meshed colors with what it sounds like increased fan useage while the HDD remains static and not used at all the only way out is to manually cut power. Anyway the Prime95 simply made the screen go black I could hear fans running fairly high rpm's but again no HDD activity.

Anyway after booting it back up from Prime95's freeze as it was booting it immdiately went into another BSOD one i've never seen before. It ran through the check so damn fast I could barely catch what it was but saw it was USB related.

It generated a minidump which ive attached below also before I even ran Prime95 speedfan revealed something potentially disturbing also attached below.

This was running while a couple processes steam/msn were also disabled but more or less reflects the case simply existing in a windows is booted state.

These all need to be updated or removed at least to test.

Plus the SPTD.SYS that JK asked you to remove, and the Rt64win7
    as well

    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Is it still listing those two that he requested me to remove as active and present as I disabled and uninstalled both and restarted the rig before running the stress test. There should be no reason why either of those are still present unless I missed something.

Rather that is to say I immdiately removed Daemon and ran an updater for the realtek. Then reset and then ran the stress and perfmon stuff afterwards.

Will do the rest of those asap and get back to you.

Good work on the last steps!

Considering you have an AMD system (Intel chips can and do run hotter), I would agree that we are looking at a heat problem. I can't *guarantee* it's causing all the problems, but I'd say it's likely. Spend some time cleaning out the inside of your computer, especially the heat sinks and air filters/vents. For $6, you can pick up a big can of electronics cleaner (compressed air). Avoid using a vacuum cleaner, as you can damage the components with excessive static buildups.

The inside of the case has been kept fairly clean of dust, there is no build up of anything to block any airflow, the tower is kept off the ground on my desk with a foot of clearance between the back fans to the wall it's against. Both PSU and Casefan. I am in the process of ordering a larger fan 140mm for the side of the case and while I dont think my hands can reach I found another place to mount a third fan inside the case which is at the front of the unit itself.

Which is where the 120mm fan already in use on the side of the case will go. The worrying thing now is so far keeping it clean and keeping the 2 120mm fans going barely seems to dent the heat this thing puts out and I have no idea where that 79C temp is reading from in regards to actual physical location inside the case. The gpu's ive had in there even the stock factory one have all run over 40c+ Ive never had it sit anywhere near to 30 unless it was powered down. Any suggestions?

Also I did a thoroughly stupid thing with the SP1 I recall now why I didnt bother getting it and after I did there was 46 other updates installed in 3 resets worth of updating this morning. So thanks for the help so far, i'll await the bigger fan to arrive and install and check the temps again but this is kind of worrying. Its always run this hot before without issue.
