Windows has made corrections to the file system. You may want to run the disk check again.

I ran Disk Check again and the log is attached.

I ran both Short and Long scans with SeaTools with both passing.

I've had no BSOD today but earlier this evening my computer randomly restarted while I was watching the TV, it displayed no BSOD and after resarting it restarted again and then would no boot. Every time I tryed to boot the compter the DVD drive would make a noise but it would not actualy boot or load the bios.

At some point in the next few days I am going to try a different HDD, I will install everything I use on this one and test BF3 to check if my current HDD is the problem or contains it.

Your Windows disk check came up clean. I would suggest clearing any memory corruption and see if the computer will boot. Follow the guide in use hard reset to resolve hardware and software issues (it works for all computers, not just HP). This should clear any memory issues and also reset your hardware/software connections with the BIOS. It will not affect the BIOS settings or Windows settings in any way.

I carried out what you mentioned above, but my crashing seems to be getting worse.

The computer now crashes with no BSOD randomly, from when i'm using mozilla firefox to the computer sitting idle with no-one on it. After crashing it can be a pain to boot up again, it seems to try boot and fail and just keep trying or it will start loading windows and it will just hang.

Any suggestions before I try a different HDD with a clean install?

Do you still have problems loading the BIOS when the computer boots sometimes? If so, I would try removing the hard drive and seeing if you can then load the BIOS easily all the time. This would help determine if it is a hard disk issue.

Seem to be able to load the BIOS up fine today but still getting crashes while doing almost anything on the computer.

I finaly got a BSOD from one of the crashes from booting up and I have attached it below I think.

Inconclusive. The recent .dmp file was corrupted. The last two .dmp files were actually corrupted. They were both: Bug Check 0x3B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

The possible causes of that crash are Memory problems... Corrupted hard disk file system... Corrupted System Files... Graphics Driver... Drivers...

I am leaning toward this being a motherboard or CPU problem. The best way to find out is test your CPU in another motherboard that supports it or test another CPU that is known to be good in your motherboard.

Before reading this post I was leaning towards the motherboard, I tried my HDD in another computer with the same RAM, PSU, Graphics Card. My HDD ran with no problems, I then tried the HDD from that computer in mine and I was getting the same crashes as usual which ment it had to be a motherboard problem as that was teh only hardware that hadn't been changed out, but I forgot about the CPU.

I will try swap the CPU from the other computer as it is the exact same as mine, and I will post when I have tried that out.

Alright, glad you have a method to test out the hardware. That really helps out in these situations. Thanks for posting back the steps you have done.

Let us know how the CPU swap goes.

Also, make sure to Avoid Static Damage to Your PC when swapping out components.

Well I switched the CPU's around and iv played BF3 for a few hours with no problems, but the computer I have put my CPU in isn't experiencing any problems which I would a little strange.

We are going to leave them swapped just now and see how it goes for the rest of the week. I will post back at the weekend with any developments.
