BSOD 3x in 3 weeks, unkown origin, error 0x0000003b

I've gotten the BSOD three times over three weeks for no apparent reason. I haven't installed any new hardware or software recently, either.

When I ran my report, it said 44% of my events were missing and that I should investigate it. I have no idea how to do that, unfortunately. It also said that I have no anti-virus, but I do (Avast!).

I have attached my System Health Report and filled out my System Specs to the best of my ability. I am no computer tech, but I'm not a noob, either. If you need anything else from me, please guide me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for any help!

All three say a system service got bugged out by the same exact instruction attempting to use an invalid memory address to read memory with. The faulting service was AWWService.exe, which is part of Ad-Aware. I reckon this is in conflict with your Avast, as it's not wise to have two AV engines running simultaneously like this as they could trip over each other. You can try and update both Avast and Ad-Aware, but the best thing to do is stick with leaving one on (preferably Avast) and leave the other off, only to use it for the occasional scan.

Thank you for the quick response.

I didn't realize that AdAware & Avast could conflict. I decided to uninstall it and found it listed three times on my Programs & Features listing! Not sure how that happened, but am wondering if that #3 is coincidental...

I will update this post if I get the BSOD again.

    Thank you!

Hi, just as a reminder, since I know that you'll post again if any BSODs come up, that if you find after a while that things are ok, you should mark this as solved for future reference for everyone. Thanks. :)

Good point! I will wait a couple of weeks and do just that. Thanks, again!
